With more than 60 square miles of surface area on the lake, there’s more than enough room to motor out to a secluded spot far away from the rest of the world and spend the day feeling just as ‘little’ as we care to be.

It’s a ‘floating oasis of littlespace’ - a nursery that comes complete with a waterfront view. It’s a place where ABDLs are free to be themselves, safely away from the prying eyes of vanillas. And, since it began floating in 2016, Cwis’s ‘Luvs Boat’ has hosted more than 75 padded guests and counting!

In 2026 this waterlogged vessel will enter its eleventh season - and, hopefully, host more members of our community.

WELCOME ABOARD!

Why Diapers?

Our community numbers in the tens of thousands and, to the casual observer, seems to be absolutely exploding in growth.

We come from every state and province, and virtually every country in the world - all connected by one thing: our undying love for - an absorbent, urine-soaked undergarment?

What gives?!

Many in the ABDL community spend years trying to figure out the answer to the question: why diapers?! We wrestle with the “what is wrong with me?” question as we grow and develop. We ‘purge’ - throwing away our ABDL investment and trying to shed this part of our lives. Most of us, of course, return to it again and again, as though its a part of us we can’t be separated from.

Theories abound as to why we are the way we are.

Why do some of us simply never outgrow being diapered?

Why do others love everything to do with age regression, and desperately want to be treated like a baby?

And why, for some of us, is this intertwined with our sexuality?

In his more than 17 years of blogging, Cwis has researched this very topic as much as anyone. Using information gleaned from hundreds of conversations, more than 100 Q&As completed by members of the ABDL community, his 2018 ‘Origins of ABDL’ survey, dozens of polls on X and other platforms, and the collaborative research of others, he’s developed a theory that, at least for some of us, may explain why our love for Pampers (and other brands) has taken such an outsized influence in our lives.

Cwis’s goal has been clearly stated from the beginning: he endeavors to help members of the ageplay and infantalism community make sense of this, so that they can enjoy this part of our lives as active members of this thriving community that has enriched his, and so many other, lives.

Why 18+?

Our community maintains a safe line between its adult members and those who are just coming into the community.

We know that underage littles exist. The research is clear: many of us discover this part of ourselves during adolescence. The internet has made it possible for kinksters of all ages to discover and learn new things. They can, and do, find their way into kink communities that many of us take for granted as being adult-only. Still, the vast majority of the active ageplay community is responsible, so we have a clear message for minors who may lurk on our platforms: we can’t wait to meet you when you turn 18.

It wasn’t always that way. Cwis, and many others, worked hard to transform our community from an anything goes to a 18+ community. To learn more about why this dividing line is crucial, and what we can all do to make the ABDL community a safer place for emerging littles, please click here.

The Survey

In February of 2018 more than 1,600 members of the ABDL community took the time to answer Cwis’s 50-question survey on The Origins of ABDL.

The abandonment rate was low, and the amount of time respondents spent on each question was high. Questions that offered the opportunity to explain in detail saw extensive details, and many very personal stories. Cwis spent days reading the responses, and compiling the results into charts and graphics that could be easily shared with, and understood by, the ABDL community. He’s since lead panels that do ‘deep dives’ into the results at CAPCON, SideQuest, and BabyFurCon Virtual.

Cwis’s Q&A Project

Since 2012 more than 100 members of the ABDL community have answered Cwis’s Q&A questions, hoping to help others on their own journeys to self-discovery and acceptance.

Questions posed include a wide variety of topics:

  • First realizations of life as a ‘kinkster’

  • Questions about developing as a child or teen

  • Reactions of parents, siblings, friends, and relationship partners

  • Shame and regret, aka ‘binge and purge’

  • For younger ABDLs, the effect growing up on the internet played in all of this

  • For older ABDLs, the effect growing up isolated played

  • The effect having a fetish has on college, socialization, and family

  • Regression

  • Other fetish interests

Many participants spend days answering the questions, and often put a lot of thought and effort into their responses - and it shows. A number of ABDLs have reached out to say that the Q&A Project has helped them in their struggle to accept this part of themselves.

Photo Contests

They began in the early days of the online ABDL community, even before social media had become our online home. Cwis’s first contest was intended as a way to get a bunch of ABDL photos in one place - a display of pride for our community not often seen in those times. It worked.

Later contests invited entrants from across the world - #diaperprideworldwide - to participate. One contest would even be held to celebrate the millionth pageview of Cwis’s Blogspot blog!

Centered around ABDL pride and acceptance, these contests attracted prizes including a pair of tickets and hotel stay at TeddyCon, tickets to the West Coast Jungle Gym, cases of diapers from ABUniverse and Northshore, specialized prizes from companies in Canada, the UK, France, and other countries - and many more.

It’s prize overkill!” one ornery ABDL complained on Reddit.

Dozens of entries poured in for each photo contest, and an accompanying essay contest, that Cwis held over the years. Categories for ‘most creative’, ‘most babyish’, ‘best group photo’, ‘best GIF’, and an ‘over 55’ category just added to the fun.

ABDL Artists

In our quest for the headspace that is littlespace, ABDL artwork, for many of us, has long played a major role. It’s easy to see ourselves inserted into the imaginative stories told by graphic artists and illustrators across the pages of ABDL websites and social media. These days, as fantasies come to life with the aid of ‘artificial intelligence’ - and all of the controversy that brings - conventional fetish artists find themselves being squeezed out.

We’ll feature some of them here, and highlight some of the original comics and pasties that helped get the ABDL community a jump start in the early days of the internet (and even before).

The ‘Big Kid Bucket

The first iteration of the ‘Big Boy Bucketappeared on Cwis’s Blogspot blog all the way back in 2008. Back then, Cwis was ‘abysitting’ in Orlando, and visitors to his tiny one-bedroom apartment would be required to place everything they came with in a bucket for storage. The mixture of humiliation and a total surrender of one’s ‘grownup’ status checked a lot of boxes for visiting ABDLs, and his blog readers alike. That blog entry has received thousands of views, and hundreds of inquiries, over the years, making it one of the most popular entries Cwis has ever written.

Regression

For those of us on the AB side of AB/DL, being able to slip into the ‘little’ headspace is the ultimate goal. This section was intended to be a resource guide for littles and the caregivers who - well, give care to them.

The goal is to cover everything from full-fledged nurseries complete with cribs and changing tables to high chairs, playpens, and more. From photos to furniture blueprints, makeshift furniture, regression hypnotism resources, you’ll find it all here and be limited only by your own imagination.

We’ll get into tips and tricks for littlespace here, and meet some caregivers, as well. Want to contribute? Email Cwis today!

Padded Pups

There is a lot of crossover among the diaper community with other kink communities - not the least of which is diaperpups, a segment of the ageplay community that seems to be exploding.

Here you’ll meet some early members of the pack: Pup Artemis, Pup Founder, and Pup Frost, the first representatives of our distinguished Puppy Panel! ABDL History

Imagine instead of an endless feed of photos to scroll through for hours, having to wait what seems like an eternity for a single picture to load on your screen.

Think of community websites with no real ‘community’ to speak of - just a bunch of faceless members trying to make any sort of connection.

An ‘all-ages’ free-for-all dominated by websites we barely speak of today.

Come for a stroll down memory lane, as we check out the ABDL internet from the 1990s thru to this moment…

Visit Cwis’s events calendar for a list of conventions and other events around the world. Here you’ll find links to conventions (CAPCON, BabyFurCon), regional events (DiaperActive, DiaperUp, Atlantic Ageplay Alliance, Camp Crinkle), and - as best as I can assemble them - a list of local orgs that host munches and other local/regional events (NYCABDL, Chicago’s PuddleScouts, Stevie’s Crinkly Arcade in San Diego, and others) as well.

Have an event you’d like to share with me? Email Cwis.

NOTE: I do my best to highlight events that are open to all in the ABDL community, because I was once on the outside looking in, and I thoroughly believe that this community is amazing - and even moreso when we’re inclusive.

Still, many ABDL events - my own included - are private/vetted events for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is privacy/security. I’ll have a ‘tip sheet’ for hosting those types of events in the near future, as well. This community is what we make it, and it’s so much more amazing with others who understand us!
