In the puppy community (and kink community writ large) I go by Founder/Pup Founder. I got into the puppy community wholesale about a year ago, though I've identified as a puppy for five or so years. Ironically, I was first introduced to puppy play through an ex over a decade ago. He expressed an interest in the scene, and, at the time, I thought it was weird and bizarre. It clicked for me when my partner (now husband) and I were at a sex shop in Montreal and I tried on a pup hood. I bought it the same day, and it took several years, but Founder has become a large part of my personal and sexual/kink identity.
For me, much like being an ABDL, Founder is a way for me to escape the challenges of everyday life and set my stress aside to take on a more carefree persona. What's really amazing about it is that I don't need to put my hood on to be a puppy. In that headspace, I identify as a service-oriented dog, in that I enjoy and take pride in helping others (especially other puppies) to be more comfortable in whatever scene they're in - at a pride parade, the local gay bar, at a convention like IML, MIR, etc. In my local community, I help run/administer a local puppy group (about 70 members strong) that communicated via Telegram and meets twice monthly for a Pup Night at our local bar and a coffee social.
Diapers are a natural addition to puppy play. They're a fetish for me, not a kink, so they're deeply ingrained in my sexuality and have been for as long as I can remember. Puppy play is both a kink and a facet of my personality, and so padding up in that headspace just makes sense to me. While Founder does not always wear diapers, he thoroughly enjoys them and loves to play with other diaper dogs, too.
